I believe that learning mobile photography shouldnt cost you the earth. Its a skill that everyone should be able to enjoy and have confidence in being creative. At last it’s here! After the HUGE success of the Snapseed presets, its finally here! You guys wanted Lightroom Mobile Presets for astrophotography and here they are!
I have 5 presets for you all for astrophotography, specifically with your phones.
Post Sunset Astro. This one is for that shot you took just after sunset and there is still a little light on the horizon from the setting sun.
Horizon Light Summer. This is for that shot in warmer weather and there is a little light pollution coming from a nearby town.
Nearby City Cloudy skies (Pink) This is a preset made from the video of light painting the old Chevy. Use this preset when you have cloudy skies and you still want to photograph something at night. Try a little light painting. Bonus tip! This is also a great preset for when you take photos at night under a bright moon with partial cloud cover.
Moonlit night Astro. Sometimes you really want to photograph a subject and the moon tries to ruin the shot for you by putting too much light out there. This preset will help combat the moonlight.
Starry night starter. This is my “go to” for almost all of my astro shots with the phones. This is a great starting point for almost every situation.
To install these presets, open one at a time in lightroom mobile (just like opening a photo). Then once its open, hit the button with the 3 dots up the top and click “Create new Preset” and then you need to name it. It doesn’t have to be called what it’s called in the download, you can name it whatever you like.
Snapseed is a fantastic, free editing tool that can really make your photos pop. This QR code preset pack is the perfect place to start your edit to save you time and have a familiar look to your images.
Presets for Snapseed are unlike presets for other editing apps. You will need to open a photo, then scan these presets, which will automatically apply to that photo.
These presets work on all mobile devices.
